and Function Venue

View from Suikerbossie Restaurant over Hout Bay
Suikerbossie Restaurant is a well known wedding and function venue with
magnificent sea and mountain views. The venue has been successfully operated by brothers Dave & Miki Smith since 1990. The team is completed by junior partner, Clive Biggs and manageress, Louise.
Views span over two
beautiful bays – Hout Bay with Chapman’s Peak on one side, and Llandudno on the other. Many
spectacular sunset photographs of bridal couples have been taken from our garden which regularly hosts
wedding receptions.
The Suikerbossie restaurant is well known for its famous scones & tea, as well as
Sunday Buffet Breakfasts and
Carvery Lunches. It is also a fun
family venue where your children are welcome.
On Sundays there is a jumping castle on the lawn, and the
jungle gym is a permanent feature in the garden for children to enjoy.
On week days Suikerbossie Restaurant serves
a la carte breakfasts, lunches and teas, incorporating a roast of the day, freshly baked
scones & other tasty delights and a variety of other refreshments for you to select from.
November and December brings the
office party season, where a Seasonal Lunch or Dinner dance is offered.
Halaal guests are catered for by our Halaal catering suppliers.
The Dinner dance evenings are
festive fun, with well known DJ’s Gary Taylor (Status Disco) and Patrick Sharwood (In the Mix Productions) playing
catchy music for you to dance to.
The Suikerbossie Restaurant is situated on the mountain slopes above Hout Bay. A number of popular
hiking trails begin nearby.
