Camps Bay Cape Town
This popular holiday and residential suburb of Cape Town is situated on the south Atlantic coastline. It occupies the slopes of the Twelve Apostles mountain range which dominates the skyline between Table Mountain and Hout Bay.

To reach Camps Bay you follow Victoria road which winds along the coastline from Seapoint alongside the high rise apartment
blocks and four trendy beaches of Clifton, down past Glen Beach and the Bay Hotel - and you're there. Alternatively, for a quicker ride, take the steep Kloof Nek road from central Cape Town up over Kloof Nek, skirting Table Mountain and on down Camps Bay Drive.

The mountain slopes and coastal region here is characterised by huge ancient granite outcrops and wide sandy beaches, with the rugged mountain peaks
prominent in the background.

Camps Bay Cape Town is an
upmarket residential area, but also one of the most favoured beach resorts among holiday makers and locals. It offers fashionable entertainment, restaurants and shopping, across the road from scenic, sunswept sandy beaches, bordered by palms and shady boulders. The only disadvantage if you like swimming, is the cold Atlantic water, but sun tanning, and beach sports like volleyball are ever popular and the fantastic view from the beach of the mountains makes it well worth the time you spend there.

Some exclusive luxury holiday accommodation is offered here on the Atlantic Seaboard. Clicking on the links in the Cape map below will provide you with a wide selection from which to choose
