There are 2000 approx outdoor metered parking bays at Cape Town Airport. In April 2006 the Airport Company of South Africa (ACSA) increased this capacity considerably by building a multi story parkade which provides an additional 2000 bays. This helps to accommodate the ever increasing passenger volumes, and allow access to the terminals via elevated walkways. Another multi story parkade is being constructed.

Secure lockup parking facilities are also provided.

Other Planned Extensions to Cape Town Airport prior to the 2010 World Cup include satellite terminals with underground passenger walkways, more runways and improved aircraft parking.
